Planning the End Like There's No Tomorrow

About the Authors

Sue Bailey

Sue Bailey was born in Oregon, "grew up" in New York City, arriving as a teen to attend Cooper Union and study fine arts. She is one of five kids, two parents, and several important pet-kids. While presently happily unmarried, she is still looking in a very lazy way. Sue had spent her entire adult life at HBO and was a vice president, promoting and working on some of the best TV shows ever created (though she is a bit prejudiced).

She can honestly say that she has no fear of death—which is not to say she doesn't dislike the idea of any physical suffering on the way there. Intensely spiritual, she knows there is no "death"—just a transformation from one form to another. She actually looks forward to passing over and feeling the immensity and unfettered love of the soul. But in the meantime, she is cramming a lot of living and learning into those very few years on the Earth—mostly in her beloved New York.

Carmen Flowers

Carmen Flowers was born and raised in North Carolina. She started her career as a professional commercial actress and voice-over talent in New York. She was equally interested in both sides of the camera and the microphone, so she opened an audio postproduction studio in midtown Manhattan, working with clients such as HBO, NBC, Comedy Central, J. Walter Thompson, and CBS. After selling the company, Carmen worked as an executive producer of commercials and independent features before forming her current media content development company, Little Black Dog Inc.

She now happily splits her time between New York and her home in a small coastal town in Maine, where she raises chickens, grows vegetables and flowers, writes, and enjoys the company of her favorite husband, Vern, and her little black pug, Duke Ellington.
